I arrived late - after nine - and I could not use the wifi. I definitely should have work. Since there is no personal assistance at this time, I tried to phone from the telephone in the room: call the telephone numbers noted but could not get work the phone fine. I tried to dial with 0 an without 0 and could simply not get out. It was beeping all the time. It was frustrating.... otherwise everything was nice and ok.

Friendly receptionist found us a last-minute breakfast spot, even topping up the buffet. Apartment had a small kitchen, comfy bed, and spotless bathroom. Wi-Fi signal was good. Great location near the old city and beautiful gardens.

Hotel's location just across the Doubs River from Besancon's historic center was its best feature. The city is very attractive and well worth a visit.
The Citea Besancon is clearly second rate. It is depressingly drab; the spartan room was decorated with a sole picture - of an elephant.

We stayed in a two-room apartment, which came with a small kitchenette and private bathroom. It even had a patio. We only really used the bedrooms, but it was a good experience and perfect for traveling as two couples together.
The check-in time ends early, so be warned if you are coming in late at night. Also, parking is a bit of a pain, so just keep an eye out for the proper parking lot, which is directly beside the building. You need a garage door opener from reception to enter the garage.

If you're looking for a quiet location, the hotel offers a peaceful stay in a modern office building not anywhere close to the city center. the room and bathroom are clean, and the kitchen unit is a convenient plus. the hotel offers breakfast for a cost and nearby restaurants are also available. the friendly receptionist is always available to assist with any questions or needs.
The hotel does not offer housekeeping by default, but you can ask for it if necessary.

During my Christmas stay, I loved the fact that the rooms were clean and well-maintained. It was a great relief to see that the staff took the effort to ensure the rooms were spotless. the location was perfect for exploring the city. It was within walking distance of the main attractions and I could easily access public transportation. Lastly, the breakfast provided was delicious and had a good variety of options to choose from.
One of the worst aspects of my stay was the lack of soundproofing in the rooms. I could hear noise from the neighboring rooms and it made it difficult to get a good night's sleep.
